The dyslexia is a neurobiological condition what a cause a deficit in the learning.
There’re two dyslexia’s types: the developmental dyslexia, known as dyslexia, that’s a Neuro - diversity; and the secondary dyslexia, which is caused by underlying disease like: brain tumor, ictus, brain trauma. Then there are students that manifest troubles similar to the dyslexia, but these problems have psychological causes, emotional causes and/or environmental causes.
The developmental dyslexia is a Neuro - diversity whose deficits are compensated in the time. This neurobiology trouble is caused by a different brain conformation. The left planum temporale has the same size as the right planum temporale; there’re cortical anomalies in the left superior temporal region and in the left inferior frontal region. The different functioning of specific brain areas of the dyslexic person causes problems in to translate the verbal word in written word and vice versa. Further to this there may be problems in: processing of auditory information; processing of visual information; deficit in short - term memory; concentration problems; directionally troubles; coordination problems; and problems with phonetic organs.
Frequently the dyslexic persons may have psychological problems and attitude problems and they may suffer from depression.
