Simona Scilla is a violinist and a composer of Milan (Italy).
She’s graduated to the Conservatoire of music "G. Verdi" of her city in violin under the guidance of her father, M° Osvaldo Scilla, and in music composition, studying with the M° Danilo Lorenzini before and graduating then herself with the M° Mario Garuti, and she has achieved besides a master in "Neuroscience, didactics of the music and dyslexia.”
She exhibited herself as a violin soloist in many important concert halls as: Sala Verdi, Sala Barozzi, Centro Asteria di Milano, Tempio Malatestiano di Rimini, Villa Francesca di Stresa, Palazzo Albrizzi di Venezia, ecc…
She played for many musical associations as: Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione “Concerti della Minerva”, Japan Foundation, Associazione Dino Ciani, Associazione Mozart, Associazione Musicale Milanese, Associazione Amici del Museo Teatrale alla Scala, Deutsch-Italienische Kulturgesellschaft ecc…
She recorded, as violin soloist and as composer, many exhibitions for: Canale 5, TMC, Rai Tre Regionale Lombardia e Lazio, Odeon Tv, Radio Popolare and on-line for AllegroAndante.
She recorded some CDs with her compositions for: Casa Discografica “Villa Nostradamus” and Edizioni Musicali “Santabarbara”.
She published her chamber music works and her didactic works with: Rugginenti Editore e Editrice Musicale Santabarbara.
She’s cited as violinist and composer, in the book “Le Lombarde in musica” Ed. Colombo Roma, a book published to want of the “Fondazione Atkins Chiti: Donne in Musica” in association with "Fondazione Cariplo"
She makes conferences and masters about violin pedagogy and specific problems of learning and she makes courses of improvement in violin.
She has been teacher of: violin, chamber music, and of "rhythm and intonation" in the Conservatoires of music of Reggio Emilia and of Mantova.
